Baumhower’s “Got Your Six” Veterans Day Campaign Makes Record Donation to National Veterans Foundation

Los Angeles, CA – December 9, 2016 – Aloha Hospitality, Inc., parent company of Baumhower’s and Bob’s Victory Grille restaurants, raised its biggest Veterans Day donation to the National Veterans Foundation (NVF) this November.  Through the new “We Got Your Six” promotion, the restaurants will be donating nearly $5,000 to the NVF.  In addition, Baumhower’s and Bob’s Victory Grille restaurants served 134 “We Got Your Six” meals to Veterans on Veterans Day at the nine participating restaurants.

The “We Got Your Six” promotion offered a special 6-item menu for $6 Menu just for the men and women who have served in the U.S. Military this Veterans Day, Friday, November 11.

“The veteran supporters of Alabama and our Veterans really came out to support the campaign this year,” said Head Fry Cook, Bob Baumhower. Since we donate 5% of our food and beverage sales to the NVF on Veterans Day and Memorial Day, community support is really important. And we were happy to see that so many Veterans took advantage of our discounted Veterans menu.”

The proceeds of the Veterans Day promotion go to support the National Veterans Foundation’s Lifeline for Vets Veterans suicide prevention efforts, helping veterans readjust to civilian life after leaving the military.

Baumhower’s Restaurants and Bob’s Victory Grille locations in Huntsville, Birmingham, Hoover, Tuscaloosa, Montgomery, Auburn and Daphne participated in the “We Got Your 6” Veterans menu, available on Veterans Day (Friday, November 11, 2016) to Veterans and active duty military persons.

Baumhower’s and Bob’s Victory Grille Restaurants have partnered with the National Veterans Foundation since 2014 through the “Bob’s Platoon” campaign.

"We are so grateful for our partnership with Bob Baumhower and Aloha Hospitality,” said NVF President & Founder, Shad Meshad.  Bob really cares about Veterans and our military people, and he puts his money where is mouth is.  Baumhower’s Restaurants support is especially important to me personally because I was born and raised in Alabama.  I’ve lived in Los Angeles for over 40 years, but I’m still an Alabama boy at heart.”

Since 1985, the National Veterans Foundation has helped over 400,000 veterans and their families with crisis and information services through the nation’s first toll-free, vet-to-vet hotline for all U.S. veterans and their families. NVF’s veteran counselors provide veterans and their families with information, counseling and service referrals for issues around suicide, VA benefits, mental health counseling, housing, medical services, education benefits, financial issues and more.
