Baumhower's Once Again the Spot for Troy's WNIT Championship Game Watch Party

ROY, Ala. – Trojan Nation has packed Baumhower's Victory Grille for the Troy women's basketball run through the WNIT Great 8 and Fab 4. Baumhower's will once again be the spot on Saturday as Troy plays at Buffalo in the WNIT Championship Game.
"We felt the energy and excitement all the way in North Dakota and Illinois earlier this week from our fans back home," Troy head coach Chanda Rigby said. "It brought such immense joy to our hearts to see the pictures and videos from Baumhower's with our amazing fans cheering us on in the Great 8 and Fab 4. We will need all that energy and more on Saturday as we play for the WNIT Championship."Â
Troy and Buffalo square off at 4 p.m. on Saturday and the game will be televised on CBS Sports Network. Troy fans are encouraged to arrive at Baumhower's early on Saturday, with the men's Final Four tipping off at 5:10 p.m.
The official watch party headquarters of Troy Athletics, Baumhower's Victory Grille has wall-to-wall TVs that will allow for all eyes to be turned towards the Trojans.
Troy's run to the WNIT Championship Game has been sparked by a run of victories over Chattanooga, North Texas, North Dakota State and Illinois State, with three of those wins coming on the road.
In the victory over the Red Birds on Wednesday, Briana Peguero scored a career-high 28 points, including six 3-pointers, as Troy rallied from a 9-point deficit with less than eight minutes remaining in the contest.
The showdown with the Bulls is a rematch from the season opener, which saw Buffalo hold off a late Troy rally to escape with an 80-78 victory in the Sun Belt-MAC Challenge.
